Jetpacks have been around since the fifties.  They’re actually an old invention.

At Bonaroo a number of years ago, String Cheese had a guy fly out from behind the stage with a jetpack on. It pretty much blew my mind at the time. It's very cool to see in person.

Wow, :cookiemonster: Sounds exciting and all. Never seen one. Seen the blue angels though and air shows, pretty cool. Rotten.com used to be online, could see murder pictures and accidents.

this reminded me of my favorite atari game:


I guess a helipack isn't as practical irl, but it would have that steampunk feel to it (specially if you're using it to drop dynamite)

I was tripping a bit, not super hard, and had smoked some and drank quite a bit. When the roar of the jet pack started I was a bit confused then he appeared from behind the stage and the crowd went fucking insane. Top 5 live concert for me. String Cheese had an incredible setup already, all sorts of aerial acts and stuff, but the rocket man was over the top.

There was one designed for the military that did.  It was impractical so the project was dropped.
