Hope everyone is having a good month!

I used a few brown lunch paper bags for fruit storage and put them inside my drawstring bag while on the hunt today..worked out well while trekking thru the forest lands of blue-meanieville..

got some good pics of my cyans as a result..🐮💩😁

I always just put them in my cargo pockets.

I’ve harvested up to 300g this way without damaging the fruits.  I’ve never found more than that on a single hunt

Paper is great, a basket is even better. Pan. cyan is definitely fruiting nicely in the panhandle rn. Loving the rain

FINALLY getting some rain down here, too. Haven't seen a cube in my yard in over 2 months it's been so dry. I see lots of indicator varieties, though. I think we're about to get a nice late season.

I get lost trying to figure out the meaning of outer existence. To the point that it drives me off the deep end.... into a big puffy cube cap. Jk I'm still trying to find one.

Hello everyone... I havent been on here in over 5 years. Awesome to see we still have a florida active page going. Ive hunted twice this year and both times i found nothing where i usually found multiple grocery bags worth. Has this season been weird for anyone else or is it my local field just aint producing? Im about to go on my third hunt and hope i can find some actives. Well i hope you all have an awesome rest of your day. If i have any luck ill post them for sure

central florida has been DRY this year. very little rain. last year i was swimming in cubes, but this year i had an almost 3 month drought with not one cube the whole time. i just found about a half dozen sm ones this morning in the field after several days of good rain, and promptly ate them all :hahawot:

the cubes are finally back!!

This was growing in dung around other actives..Does the cube whisperer think this is a cube?

bolete, I think....but don't hold me to that. Definitely not active. If i'm not mistaken, ALL actives in florida bruise blue. Pleae correct me if I'm wrong Doc.

They are clearly bruising the typical greenish blue i see alot.  Just the cap is either discolorated from old age/damage and or spores

Not a bolete, boletes do not have gills whereas this mushroom clearly does.

It does not look like P cubensis, but it is very dirty so who knows.  If it bruises blue and has a purple spore print, go for it.

Had lots of rain lately but no luck out at the field.  I think this is another case of deep dormancy brought on by a month of unbroken dry heat.

Pics from the supposed cube are from the same fruit, I photo shopped them together..Thanks for the help, im not good with colors.. off shades of whites/greens/reds are hard for me to pick up on..Thanks to my gene pool..

Also I put in a request to id a few others yesterday and didn't get any help with them..Maybe you guys know

The one on the right I thought it was P.ant because cap & stem were distinctly more white..Stem now turning green I think..

They may be protostropharia semiglobata or maybe Cinctulus or foenescii. 2nd pic one on the right has stipe stripes and dusty appearance maybe Cinctulus. Wait for a TI because I have no idea what I'm talking about. :p
