Can you make a Flowhood out of a SAB?

If I adapted a filter and fan to the top of my SAB, can I turn my SAB into a flowhood type device? Anyone experiment with this?

The plastic SAB tote wouldn’t like all the weight. A lot of HEPA filters are 12” thick and pretty heavy. Also it does need to be blowing at you. If it were blowing straight down, the flow would become turbulent when it hit the table, and would no longer be laminar. The flow hood works not just because it filters out damn near everything in the air, but because the flow of air is uniform.
It’s really either SAB or flowhood. Good thought though.

I see now. It has to be uniform air flow to avoid turbulence.

Would having a SAB with positive pressure inside (IE air flowing out the arm holes) be more beneficial or detrimental for vector prevention?
