Trumps calls Baltimore "Far Worse and more dangerous" than the border.

Ive never been to Baltimore but this seems extreme to even say. Is Baltimore really this dangerous and disgusting? And to say it about any iconic American city, its shameful in my opinion.

Who is to blame for Baltimore's apparent condition? Is Cummings to blame since its his district or is Trump to blame as President of the United States? Does Trump have the right to blame Cummings?

The slums of Baltimore are pretty crappy, but it doesn't seem to me to be any worse than any other big American city, nevermind major cities elsewhere on the planet.

Neither are to blame.

It's the people that live there who hold the responsibility for the condition of their own community

I know the leftists here will argue because they don't believe in personal responsibility and it's always someone else's fault

I go to B-more 3-5 times per year; it's not that bad.  Perhaps I think that way because I know it so well?  :shrug:

There are a couple neighborhoods--orangetown comes to mind--where it gets p bad for a few blocks and there are hoods like any major city, but saying it's worse than this or better than that is unproductive bullshit.

The worst parts are the blocks that are uninhabited.  But it can look like a post-apocalyptic world one block, while the next block has peeps sitting amongst flowers on their neatly painted front porches.  The 130+ year old hotel I often stay in is near the hood and the liquor store I shop in while there is straight up in the hood.  I've never hesitated to leave my wife in the car while I go in to shop.

For sure the worst thing happening in B-more is the heroin and and fenta-dope and what it's done to much of the poor population. 

Placing blame with anyone is just more unproductive BS.

Baltimore isn’t that bad. Most of the city is no worse than any other major city.

Edit: And Baltimore definitely has its problems, like any other large city. I usually visit their several times a year because I have family in the area. It's not THAT bad, though.

The Baltimore of today isn't even comparable to the Baltimore of 20-30 years ago, that's for sure. They have made HUGE improvements in that city.

Which is a micro fraction of the total immigration, correct?  So instead of arguing for that micro fraction, please just acknowledge that the vast majority of this immigration hurts the average citizen in places like Baltimore. Stop trying to defend your ideology just for one second and think about US citizens for once.

Our company hires high skilled immigrants all the time.  We have to, as we can't find enough domestically.  :shrug:

Hmm...I retract this statement. Looks like the murder rate is actually the same as it was 20-30 years ago.

I'm surprised, because it feels much safer these days. Must be all the opiates.

The three times ive had trouble in B-more were all due to other out-of-towners, not residents of the area. 

Two were unprovoked fights with dudes way too drunk to have any business fucking with me.  The third was a botched robbery attempt as I took a leak behind a dumpster in a dark alley; I got complacent and wasn't as diligent about where i pissed as I normally am but I had recently read about a dude getting put on the sex offender registry for pissing in public so I went a little deeper into the alley than I normally would have.

Those two would be robbers regretted their choice of target when my buds came around the corner and proceeded to stomp them.  Thats only the second time I've seen someone get picked up overhead and slammed to the pavement, but my friend has a flair for dramatic acts.

This is very true the GOP is very much focused on short term gains at the expense of collective national well being. If the gop could get away with it they would happily let 90 percent of the population be illiterate.
