I'm going to hope you're pre-hydrating your casing before micro-waving...

the verm is wet right? gotta be wet, forgot to say.
i'd go with the 3 casings, incase something bad happens probably get more yield outta 3 than 2 anyway even with less cakes

it has to be wet reguardless or what's happening to you will keep happening. the bottom layer should be field capacity anyway

Well... That would explain that then... You need to hydrate your verm before you microwave it...

poking holes in your wrap wont let any contaminants in when you open the micorwave door? Oh i also have a question is a single 5minute cook sufficient to sterilize the verm or do i need to cook it twice. Ive heard both just wondering if once is enough.

Hey Domey, dont feel bad! I did the same thing when I did my first casing. Put it into the microwave in a tupperware bowl without the lid for 4 min on high. Took it out and walked it over to the counter to do a dunk and roll and mix the rest with sterile water to top off poo tray. Funny thing is when I got there half the verm was gone! Vanishing verm! Incredible! NOPE,just a big hole melted in the bottome of the tupperware and one big ass mess from the microwave to the counter!HA! Ha! Oh well,I thought, learned my lesson on prehydration and do it the right way next time. Lesson #2 and much more important: DONT VAPORIZE YOUR WIFES TUPPERWARE ,AND IF YOU DO ,ACT FAST AND DISPOSE OF THE EVIDENCE BEFORE SHE FINDS OUT AND THE EVIL PISSED MIST CONSUMES EVERYTHING IN ITS PATH!!!! Just kidding she just laughed, shook her head, and walked away. She is cool like that!
