First grow for me. I made my own syringes from a spore print. Have a no-name pressure cooker that doesn't show PSI. Used a SAB, BRF PF-TEK and SGFC.

So what the hell have I got here? Is It sciizophyllum commune, like in this post - https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/15604388e





I've thrown out the cake, which had developed some hardcore green mold overnight. Could this be a contamination that's taken over? Or must it be either a contam syringe or else I was never sold gts in the first place? I don't have anything to compare it to as the other cake has.not fruited yet and the other jar isn't ready to birth.

I've made a lot of mistakes - wrong sized jars, beginning this grow in winter so that it's taken months. Have learned a lot for next time but still hoping I will get something out of this lot.

The cake rapidly grew a large green mold spot, so I threw it out unfortunately @Geinstein. I'll see what happens with the last two. I'm in the Southern Hemisphere.

So can I safely presume that I have been sent the wrong spore print in the first place? I'm a bit miffed if that's the case and I want to get in touch with the person I bought it from.and ask them to send me another.

I didn't realize reishi would fruit on brf cakes but that's certainly what it looks like(and easiest to explain how it happened as well- simple mixup or cross contamination by spore vendor)
