Lost All GTs

My ex-girlfriend ordered some spores from The Hawks Eye - B+, Ecuador, and Golden Teacher. She inoculated 24 jars (8 of each) and after almost 2 weeks, she lost ALL the GTs to the nasty black mold, while all of the others are fine. Is this a coincidence? Could the GT syringe have been contaminated? Or are GTs just more prone to contams than the other strains? Anyone have any thoughts?

I have found GTs to be a great coloniser...although i did lose a few of my jars to contams also.. Did you flame that needle??

Hmm, if all the jars were prepared in the exact same way, maybe a bad syringe?

I think that it's highly unlikely that the syringe came contaminated. You probably introduced the syringe needle to a contam yourself, and then innoculated all the jars without sterilizing the needle once. This explains why only the GT's are contaminated, your other syringe was clean.

hmm. well, she innoculated all the jars the same way, using an alcohol flame to sterilize the needle (then wiping off with an alcohol swab) between each jar so its hard to imagine that she introduced the contam.
