mndfreeze, yeah I listen to the Dead every chance i get, no doubt im obsessed with the music and have been since the early 70's when I saw my first show!

Im also a father of two, have a beautiful wife, am an avid hunter and fisherman, love to read, play basketball, coach, and earn well over 6 figures. (not trying to brag just put things into perspective)

and I haven't been considered a hippy in many years LOL !!!

Im familiar with all types of music, and have seen at least 50 or so bands live..............................

But there's nothing like a grateful Dead concert :gd_icon:

But do you think that conversations on an internet message board necesarily reflect conversations in real life? mine certainly don't...

true, before the pub I always wished there was someplace i could converse with other deadheads, of my friends who i once went to shows with, many are long dead, burnt out to the point of uselessness, or moved away!

I need Chinacat to help me out here! He has a gift for expression and he lived the life.

I don't have the talent to put into words what im trying to communicate. It's almost painful to me that people can't be made to understand that the Grateful Dead were a way of life for us for so many years. Not just some band, not just the music, not just Jerry (although he was the cause of it all).

The idea has been discussed but the administration will not add another general discussion forum, because we already have two. Actually some felt that two was too many and wanted to combine them but I believe that idea is dead.
