Pain and Mushrooms?

Hey all! Hope your lives are going swell.

It's been a few years since I've taken mushrooms. The passed few years I've gone through some traumatic abuses. I've experienced a severe amount of shame, can't really seem to get past it. I've also been experiencing some pain.

I believe it originated from an injury to my hand, however, doctors have failed to diagnose after a year. The worst part is the headaches it causes. They reside mostly in the occipital area of my head. Feels like a sumo wrestler is sitting on the top of my spine.

Now, I mention this because I would like to take mushrooms again, however, I have an immense fear of having an adverse reaction like I had to marijuana.

Let me explain..

About 8 months ago, I was vaping a wax pen. I was used to, at this point, getting severe anxiety from wax pens, and even weed sometimes. Heart racing, panic, the general rodeo. However, this time was different. Very different.

I began to panic after hitting the pen five or six times, so I went to lay down in my room to relax. However, about 10 minutes later I began to experience a phenomenon I know understand to be "exploding head syndrome", a parasomnia disorder. I heard explosions in my head and immense pressure.

I got up and ran toward my friends, however, upon standing, I felt extremely dizzy and the pressure amplified. I could've sworn that my head was about to explode off my body. I sat down and began to shake furiously. In almost a seizure-like manner. After a bit of arguing I convinced them to take me to the ER.

The shaking had continued for nearly 5 or 6 hours. The doctor thought I had a bleed in my brain or something.

Anyways, I think that's all that's relevant for now coming from that experience..

I had a similar experience a few months later. I was at a festival and the weed and pen caused the same sort of reaction. The pressure increasing and me feeling like my head was gonna pop like a cork off my shoulders. I took a few ibupronens to help, but I was miserable.

I guess my fear is that I will take mushrooms and have a similar experience. I cannot remedy my pain, I believe it is some sort of peripheral nervous system complication. Perhaps a pinched nerve or nerve damage.

I don't think I'd be able to handle this experience while tripping. I'd most likely fall into a terrible, horrible bad trip. And I have such severe anxiety already from PTSD, I couldn't handle more trauma at this point.

Sorry about your condition hope you find relief. Does it only occur when you take stuff? If so is it really worth it? If not then start small. Microdose - sub perceptual effects. 0.1g or so. Then increase slowly over time if you feel ok. Some even report relief from headaches when microdosing. Good luck

My wife micro doses.  Like a mg to a g every 3 months helps her PTSD and her depression immensely
