Hi all
Can anyone help me I have just grown some shrooms and took a few the other night only about 2grams. It was ok at first but then my back started aching and within no time I was in very bad pain.
Now this made me remember why I stopped taking acid 10 yrs ago and it can happen on E`s as well but not as much can someone tell me what it is as its fucking my head in. I want to really have a good trip but its not worth the pain. Does anyone else have this problem? Any solutions?

pains in the back is not either normal-effects or side-effects of acid, shrooms or mdma. so i suppose you are either trippin so hard that you make yourself believe you are in pain, or you have a health problem. Go visit your doctor, say that your back aches often (dont mention why if u cant) and make a series of medical examinations to c whats going on.
Noone can give you prescriptions and solutions to a health problem thru the internet, its kinda risky you know

It sounds like what's known as "media suggested illness". Have you heard a rumour about acid causing "back pain"? Unless you have a back problem in the rest of your life it's all in your mind.

i'd guess it is the result of mental stress. your back is tensing up due to the experience. maybe tripping isn't for you.

sometimes I get cramps in my legs when taking shrooms... but nothing that's considerably painfull.

Either you're doing something weird while on shrooms that is causing these back pains (twisting yourself into a strange position or possibly straining a muscle somewhere), or you shouldn't trip

well, ive expierenced muscles cramping caused by tension on both lsd and mushrooms.
It seams to happen worse on lsd. It usually starts out just a feeling of tension in my legs(just legs never had it in back) and then about 4-5 hours into the trip it starts to hurt. I remember 1 specific trip on 4 hits of liquid that the tension and muscle pain in my legs became so bad i could hardly walk.
The best thing i can say is try and relax as much as you can, its hard tho to relax on any psychadelic tho.

Yeah i've noticed at times my body seems to tense up, but its never painful...

I sometimes get pain in the back of my legs (like cramp), normally happens after the trip or on the come down. I've heard (and experienced) that Baby Woodrose does the same.
Maybe try moving around during the trip - get the blood circulating a bit?

I get backaches, but i think it comes from tripping my ass off and not caring about my posture for 6 hours straight. I get this if I'm really high sometimes too, when i'm just all sprawled and twisted up on the couch all night.

I am a health professional and have posted
a few threads regarding the effects of
psilocybin on the body. What you may be
experiencing is calcium depletion and dehydration.
Additionally, if your pain is located in the lower
back (below the last rib and above the hips) you
may have a kidney problem. It would be a good
idea to get a checkup from your MD if this may be the
case. (The color and smell of your urine will be a good
indicator of your kidney health).

Thanks for all the replys.
Braka yes its the same with me LSD is really bad thats why I stopped taking it.
Nomad it is my lower back. And to all the others who say its in my head or its nothing to do with LSD or shrooms haven`t got a clue. I think I will just stick to having a smoke now, everything else fucks my head in coke, speed etc and lsd, shrooms fuck my back in.
I now wish I never kicked the arse out of it when I was young, and I am only fucking 30 !

I've only tripped once, but I noticed that I was clenching my muscles without knowing it when sitting in certian positions and would have to rmeind my self to relax my muscles every once in a while, for a short while, my back fel t funny too, I got some chills around where my ribs stopped but I've been experincing that sober too on and off for months, I mentioned it to the doctor while I had the flu and he told me to come back if it was still there in a week. They went away for a while but came back yesterday. I get the senstaion in my back if I drink alcohol too but it's more intense.

when ever i trip REALLLLLLLLLLLY hard during the peak or when i roll on E sometimes if i work my self up, thinking about something or if someone is telling a relly really good story i find that i put alot of stress on my back and jaws.i just found out that if i was going to do that mutch i had to remember to relax but nothing that hurt just like alot of tension but it goes away when i relax

at the end of my acid trip(4 hits)....when i was trying to go to sleep...I couldn't lay down...my back hurt to much. Then i said 'fuck it'...and it hurt so much...but I forced myself to lay there. I think it was because my back and all my other muscles were tensed up lots and needed to relax.

Psilocybin....thats the kind of shit it does. It's not easy on the body. Try some Ibuprofen, about 400 mg. Should do the trick.
