I wonder if most people trip for the same reason.
Why do you think so many people speak of psychedelics as if they get life changing revelation?

That’s quite profound. You seem to be a highly articulate individual.
Possibly the only lasting revelation I’ve had is that there is something more to life than what it seems; a force which powers us, and differentiates us from average animals.

Simple answer is I like how it makes me feel and what thoughts it makes me have. Plus music sounds amazing on psychs as well.

Yes, it has enriched my life and made it more special/interesting.

It has helped me make new relationships or added new experiences to relationships for sure, especially shrooms and Acid.

I dont really ask this question to myself because i already know why i trip.

Great questions.

I think all human beings yearn to 'trip', but some of us just aren't conscious of it and/or have been conditioned to believe it's dangerous, or indulgent, or pointless. I believe that as a species we've an in-built need to take a break from our typical conscious state in order to remain psychologically healthy - in all cultures throughout humankind we have at some stage, sat around camp-fires chanting and staring into flames, entering meditative trip-like states regularly, with or without hallucinogens, and of course some cultures still do (funny how it's those ones that the Western World generally looks down on as uncivilised and under-developed..). I guess, rightly or wrongly, I just see tripping as a form of meditation, and I see meditation as an essential process for the human brain.

For me personally, tripping helps me to be a little kinder and less ego-driven, perhaps by stopping me being so bloody sure of myself, and from there it helps my relationships with people around me (although I guess they'll be the judges of that!)

Took some truffles yesterday afternoon and went for a walk, then returned home to work in the back garden with my little 6 year-old daughter helping me - just seeing her gleefully brushing up and helping Dad in the garden was utterly joyous - of course, without the psilocybin I love spending time with her, but seeing her running about barefoot on the grass whilst the sunlight illuminated her felt as though I was watching the essence of life itself!

How your reality is created by your mind and just how powerful that can be. Also learning about the alien intelligence thats all around us all the time and in everything.

I trip for a couple reasons.
One is it is just fucking amazing to see the world open up before you almost like another dimension is trying to break through.
Another reason is do on occasion I have some very life altering thought processes while under the influence I actually just posted about this this morning in here.
