At this forum I go to (the same one I always have problems with), all the members were talking in this one thread about how they love getting drunk and wasted, and they were telling stories about when they passed out or puked because of alcohol or whatever...so I decided to join the discussion and wrote:

"I prefer magic mushrooms or pot." 

Then the administrator PM's me and tells me that if he EVER hears me talking about illegal drugs again, he will report me to the authorities.  Which is sort of funny because he lives in England. 

But still, it sort of annoyed me and made me wonder why I even bother with that site.  Probably because it has to do with my fetish and it's the only decent one out there on the web.  :frown: 

So I'd thought I'd share and see what you people think.  Maybe I was "dramatically out of line" with reference to my illegal drug use.  :rolleyes:

The thing is, I've been a member of that community for years on end.  Most people there know I live in the US. It just bugs me that he's such a fucking dictator with his site and actually DARED to say that he'll report me for illegal drug use when he doesn't even fucking live in the same country as me.  But it's his site, so whatever.  :rolleyes:  This is just another example of the crap that's been going on there for years now.  I've already been banned once for posting a link to Erowid.  I don't know how much longer I can take his bullshit.

Yeah, you're probably right.  All I do when I visit and post is just get annoyed.  And there are other sites for my fetish...just not as large.  You know how it goes with fetishes though...you just want to be at the place where there is the most material to "accomadate you."  :blush:  Maybe I should just say fuck it and spend some time away for awhile.

I'm sure the authorities would have no reason to act simply because one person says they use illegal drugs.

heh, thanks but I don't want to bring down the wrath of the shroomery on that site.  I've been part of that community for such a long time, and it didn't used to be this Draconian on drugs.  I'd rather just bow out gracefully.  I have a few friends there who also do substances, so they sympathize with me but none of them are going to stand up to the Dictator.  Whatever...I've already posted my "see ya" message.

I realized that my solution was no good anyway. I think the admin's threats are unnecessary. After all, it's run by the admin and presumably you agree to play by their rules, no matter how bizzare they seem. What I find offensive is the threat to report you. If there's a rule that stands saying that you can't discuss any illegal activity, then I think they could have just politely reminded you of that rule.

A similar situation can be found here with the supplier rule. I understand the supplier rule, but lets say I violated it. As far as I'm concerned it's cool for an admin to let me know that I broke the rule and politely warn me not to do this, but if they flyew off the handle saying that they were going to turn me in for conspiring to deal drugs, that's not cool.

Perhaps the best course of action is to simply tell the admin. that you don't appreciate the threats.

thats rediculas...alchohol is like the worst drug ever. I enjoy a few beers...but i dont get drunk often...but when i do boy do i get drunk :smile:
