What I never got with that whole thing of reclaiming land that would have been below sea level is, wouldn't the land be pretty much irreversibly contaminated with salt?

I think it would be like the Katrina in the usa, when the Leveys broke and all the flooding came in in New orleans. Sea salt. At the fast good place Wendys they put sea salt on the fries instead of regular salt. Europe, all the countries divided instead of one big country, and some people, pushed into a country below sea level, unable to move out of there because anywhere is a complete different country, with a different language. They are speaking dutch, but the countries around them? France speaking french, Germany speaking germany, and all the others speaking god knows what. Its confusing even thinking about.

Dont spend all your time in Amsterdam though, lots of other nice places, minus the million tourists.

You forgot the peace palace where the International Court of Justice resides. Absolutely worth a visit if youre in den hague. The building is filled with pieces of art that were donated from all over the world.

Yeah go to the Peace Palace as well. Its very close to the Dizzy Duck :rofl:

Coming from the States everything in The Netherlands is close by. You can traverse the entire country from top to bottom within 4 hours
