I never got this fetish. I've known about a foot fetish since about age 12, when I started investigating other, stranger and more complex fetishes. 

People can have a fetish for ANYTHING.  And a fetish generally isn't something one can just "control."  When exposed to the proper fetish stimuli, an erotic response is inevitable.
