no offense, mdfreeze, because I respect your right to freedom of opinion and expression...

but why open a thread called "Grateful Dead" if you get pissed at all the Dead threads here?

ther eis nothing else to open. :P

Really, when you go out is the dead and their holy worship all you people ever think and talk about?

drive your car to work, dead.
sitting at work working, dead.
got a free minute for a cig break, oh time to think and talk about the dead.

sounds like a rather bland, boring and shallow existance to me.

Well I don't drive a car anymore, nor work, so here's my schedule:

Wake up, take a shower, listen to the Dead
Walk to school, cd player in my pocket, listening to the Dead
Pay no attention to any of my classes, cause I'm too busy listening to the Dead
Go to lunch and annoy my friends by discussing the current Dead show I've been listening to (none of my friends are deadheads :frown: )
Walk back home, listening to the Dead
Study a bit, take a shit, surf the net, read a book - listening to (you guessed it: the Dead)
Go on the shroomery and piss of mndfreeze by talking about...

The Dead!

it just adds nice background music to my daily life... it's always fun to dance instead of walking!

It doesnt piss me off. It makes me sad that you live such an unfullfilled life that you throw every second of it away on a single thing.

Last I remember, part of being a hippy was an open mind and the lust for new experiences.

you can look at it like religion also, as the dead sort of spread like one..

the ones who talk about it the most are the most unsure of their own faith.

I am grateful my parents brought me to all those shows.  :gd_icon:

I am also grateful that most of the heads on the road are finally finding their lives  :rasta:

Oh, and I listen to music all damn day and night, and usually only get about 1-3 dead shows in. Been listening to a lot of Neil Young, and Jefferson Starship last few days. Some other stuff too. Theres a lot of great music out there but the world wouldnt be the same today if it werent for the grateful dead  :gd_icon:

So stop harshing the mellow  :sun:

Ain't that the truth. If you don't want to hear about the Dead then don't open threads that are titled "Grateful Dead" because it's obvious that if you don't understand you're not going to like the contents of the post. If I want to look at some of the grossest shit I'll ever see I'll go to OTD but if I want to mellow out I'll go to the Pub; that's the reason for different forums no?

Anyways, I'm grateful that Jerry didn't lose his middle finger on his left hand  :gd_icon:  :heartpump:
