Do you find patches or individuals?

This season in Victoria my patches have been mostly bare and sad. Those horrible orange things seem to be thriving though! Amongst them, I'm able to find a few lonely p. subs but nothing like the whole mushroom towns and cities I've found in the past.

So what is the situation where you are? Is it more normal to pick individuals or do you find a patch where you only have to squat once to fill your bag?
