very AWESOME find and great pics.

from my humble investigations this appears to be the A. praecox variant that grows on woodchips and is often more robust. the veil should be skin-like and then print should be brown.

Yeah, I'm guessing they are Agrocybe praecox as well.

The spore print was brown.  Here's a picture of it:

Well, I got the spore print shot for ya, but I dunno how to do the "slice shot" thing.  Maybe someone else could do it?

And yes, finding a whole bunch of mushrooms like this was thrilling! :laugh:  Too bad they weren't cubies, though... Although I think I would've dropped dead if they were!!! :laugh:

Oh!  You just wanted a picture of them cut in half... I see now! :smile:

Unortunately those pics were taken a little while back, so I am not able to get a slice shot of any of those shrooms.  By the way, sorry for the poor quality of the pics!  I purposefully made the file sizes as small as I could when saving them so I could upload as many as possible.  I'm gonna see if I can make the quality better, resave them, and then post them on my website... I dunno if it will work, though!

Oh, and since we're sharing slice shots, go  here and check out the pic at the bottom.  It's my favorite "slice shot" that I've taken.

(Sorry, geocities does not let me link to individual pics.)

I'll let you know if I'm able to enhance the quality of the pics and get them up on my site.
