I have read differences in opinion on this so I figured I would bring it here and see what you guys do.....when adding cakes to fruiting chamber should there be a piece of tin foil between the cakes and pearlite?

yes.

their is no differences of opinion:lol: you dont do it. cakes soak up water. perlite has water. cake ontop of perlite equals water logged caked. use lid or foil as barrier.

ok that's funny cause that is exactly what I was thinking all the water that should be contributing to humidty would end up in the cake....I have also hear of people injecting water directly into the cake....but I don't see this mentioned all the time is this just a personal preference thing or maybe I was thinking people might do that instead of dunking?
