Second set of eyes please!! Good or game over??

My first attempt. Just need a set of eyes from someone that knows what they are doing.

- Five grain spawn bags into compost mix substrate and spawn to fruit
- no hole tub
- wax paper during the day
- no wax paper and shitting lid at nigh
- “indirect” natural light
- misting sidewalls and top a 2-4 times a day.

It’s very dry here and I’m new. Cake is pulling from side a bit, concerned about overlay, dry myc. Haha I’m just super neurotic. Any help is much appreciated!

Also, is the wax paper overkill with a no hole tub? I’m stressing humidity that’s why, but then I stress FAE... ugh! I grow a lot of food, dialing this in is an impressive skill.

Not sure what wax paper is for (have heard of one other using that but I'm pretty sure that's not needed).

Misting the wall, why? The walls aren't growing so you want to mist above the tub and allow it fall like dew.

Not sure the size of that tub but if your using Bod's Tek, just keep lid flipped. Mist when needed.

If using shoe box or boot box. Keep lid on until mushrooms are knocking it off.

Knots are forming. Should get pins soon.

Thank you!! Really appreciate the encouragement! I thought watching a plant grow took patience and confidence...🙄

So I’m still in the clear?! Freakin awesome.

I feel a little ridiculous with the whole misting thing. I had read that misting the substrate wasn’t great for for the surface, so I figured the walls were safe. I was able to spray liberally, with the wax paper covering the top.

The wax paper might have actually saved me... the paper is supposed to create a microclimate right above the surface, helping with humidity and I believe moisture...? I was worried about FAE. Anyways, my lack of misting might have been countered by the wax paper.
