Kratom Use

I'm not looking for dosage advice I'm just asking about your  typical dose in grams you take when you take kratom.

I usually do 10g at a time :shrug:

14-15g for me. Only dose first thing in the morning.

White vein only. It's my kickstart to the day.

Mainly only been eating it when kickin H. 10-15g seems like itd be annoying to get down. Even like 5 is kind of a hassle when trying to not inhale any or spill it on clothes (stains real quick). Fortunately even at threshold doses its quite effective in reduction of some of the more persistent background opiate w.d symptoms like general anxiety and joint pain. If im tryina actually get lit tho, i usually don't even bother with weighing it and just keep eating until i feel something.

I eyeball mine, probably 3 tbsp about 3-4 times a day on average.  It would probably be described by most as a maintenance dose..

1-2g for me, usually 1.5g or 1.75g. Also usually just 2-3x daily, lately more often only twice a day. I try and stay under 5g a day as I've noticed minimal tolerance increase at this dosage.

Try sticking to 3x daily with at least 4-5~ hours between doses. You would probably benefit from a short break or even taper to reduce your tolerance as well.

But IME redosing too often will make your tolerance build much faster.

Instead of trying to cold turkey and ‘do it like a man’, if that’s what you’re doing just wait for wd’s to kick in and when they get bad take the smallest dose possible to get it tolerable (to where you can sleep) and eventually the wd’s just stop showing up.  Path of least resistance and whatnot.  That’s what I do, may work for you.

My dumbass gets back to baseline and starts feeling like I’m ‘good’ so I start dosing again like normal and end up right back where I began.  I trust you’ll be smart enough to avoid this.

i just take like 4-7 grams for pep, pain and anxiety.

Its not too fun in the higher ranges for me.

No amount of Kratom could have helped me sleep during W\D's. Different people have less or more severe W\D symptoms. Some people shit their pants while I just get diarrhea for a couple days.

For me it's ONLY insomnia all the other symptoms are minor. I went three Weeks without sleeping a minute every time I kicked... which was over 10 times. Must have taken years off my life.

The last time I kicked 90mg Methadone cold turkey in jail. 1 entire month without sleep, I actually feinted during head count. The guard thought I got KO'd but I just dropped for a few seconds :lol:

I don't think Kratom will help with the severe insomnia but in latter stages of W\D could be helpful. After the first couple weeks, small doses to help with PAWS and help one get back to work. Otherwise it's 6-12 months to recovery in terms of Sleep, Energy, and Feel. Sometimes it takes years, Kratom could be useful in supplementing.

That's what it is for me.


Around 1.5g taken twice a day, sometimes three times a day depending what I have going on in the evening. For several years I was taking a full teaspoon (around 2g) three times a day, but over the past two years I now only take around 1.5g twice a day.

For the past 7+ years I've been taking it pretty much daily, the same dosage taken around the same time every day....and it still works for me just fine. I have no need or desire to increase my dosage.



I do have some tolerance but not much considering I've been taking it daily for over 7 years now....I do experience some very mild w/d symptoms if I go a day without, mostly lethargy/feeling weak & tired, some aches & pains and my body feels kinda "tight" & rigid, some irritability/get annoyed easily, and difficulty getting a nice solid night of deep sleep...It only lasts 48 to 72 hours though....I also get some pronounced anxiety if I stop taking it, but anxiety is one of the reasons I take kratom (and it helps wonderfully).

I’ve mainly done red vein Borneo.

3-4 gram if I’m out with friends
5-7 grams if I want to chill out at home and relax
10 grams + if I want to lay in bed and catch a nod

Even though I've been taking kratom daily for over 7 years now and have some tolerance......

.....I still can't take a dose beyond 5g. Over 5g is far too much for me. Makes me feel like shit. Makes me feel light headed/dizzy, sometimes nauseated, sweaty, shakey, head-achey, just all around it makes me feel very dysphoric, it's not pleasant at all for me.


4g is about the very most I can take at once without experiencing dysphoric/unpleasant side effects....2 to 4 grams is my sweet spot, but I rarely ever take more than 2g at once.

Yo I’m talking about wd from kratom, I thought that’s what we were talking about.

I don’t know how kicking real dope or any of that methadone sort of stuff works because I never got into it.

1.5g WMD in the am to start the day

Depending on pain levels, 1-3g of green/yellow in the afternoon

Heavy dose of red at night, anywhere from 5-10g to take it down/sleep pain free.

Tried it for the first time last week, went through 3 ounces (3 dif strains) in 4 days so roughly  7g 3x a day.

Not a huge fan after having been on stims and h in the past. Large doses give me a buzz and a nice taste of a real high but kind of just leaves me wanting so much more. Id probably be up to multiple ounces a day in no time.

I can see why people love it though, nice pleasant buzz.

Yeah it’s got a ceiling to it.  It’s subtle in it’s effects, you don’t really get ‘fucked up’ on it contrary to what the news would have you believe.  Just a gentle tea..(or snack:shrug: )

Do most of you guys Toss and Wash? I used a coffee pot yesterday to do 10 G's but I ran water through it 3 times till it was almost clear, the last pot of water.

I have NEVER felt anything like a buzz off it either just "better"

I used a jackhammer for 8 hours today, I'm ready to eat 100 grams :crankey:
