Burning sage to sterilize a room? * 1
    #26014398 -

So I just saw literature on a study that showed that burning sage in a room removes 95% of airborne bacteria on one hour. So I'm gonna grab some this week and smoke out my kitchen for an hour before I gwt my SAB ready for some agar work, been having a lot of bacterial problems with my agar transfers lately, this might be a decent solution until I can afford to get my ducts cleaned and add a uvc component to the hvac in my house. Feel free to chime in with any ideas related to this, i will be updating with results later in the week when ive had a chance to implement this

Study more about mushroom cultivation, I mean it might not hurt to burn sage, but I just have to wonder if this is some joke.

There are a ton of articles about it but no links
to studies. Ridiculous. I'm gonna smudge my bathroom
heavy and leave some open petris to see what grows.
E. coli? C diff lol

I just wipe my SAB with alcohol and mist the inside with water. no problems so far. a few plates have issues but that will always happen I feel. maybe 2 out of 28.

Lysol sterilizes surfaces not air, I forgot what the product is that sterilizes air though.

As for everyone else, im not talking about "smudging to rid bad energy", im not a yuppy hipster wook, so the condescension and rudeness are kinda useless and adding nothing to the conversation. My post said nothing about "bad energys", or "spirits", I was speaking purely of Airborne Bacteria. So jokes about crystals and whatnot are kind of irrelevant.

Is this the same thought process along the lines of essential oils and measles parties?

I don't really think that the burden of proof is on the no side of this argument though.

Did the paper say why sage kills bacteria? What in it would get rid of it? Like what was the proof in the article? Why would sage work but not incense? Can u post a link to what u read? It just doesn't sound right to me but I'd be the first to admit I don't know everything so I try to keep an open mind about things.

I don't care either way but I did find the article, or a similar one. Full text of the "study" is behind a paywall.

Disinfection rather than sterilization.
