I think there is a balance politically. I did have to deal with some stuff for saying the wrong thing, or things wrong.
Sometimes they are too happy to moderate when some new people would be nice and the ignore feature is there.
Its a certain kind of forum and flavorful posts are nice to laugh about

I've been around since 2010. If there's one thing the Shroomery has taught me it's why buyy drugs when I can grow/extract them. I still see alot of the OG's that have stuck around and helped shaped this place. I get a real kick out of some of y'all's internet personality. I had a comical thought while tripping the other day thinking what if we were all put on an island together. A sort of shroomery survival scenario :lol: hospitable to psilocybin mushrooms of course. Freedom of speech means the government won't arrest you for your words. It does not entitle you to say whatever you want on someone else's website. This place tolerates more hate than any other site I have ever been on besides 4chan. You have to actually try to get banned. There is literally a section for racists here, and that's still not enough.

I've experienced what razorfreak says. He is completely right. It wasn't like on my friends website where people came in just to spam tub girl. For a website such as this, mods can be very strict.

I've said it many times, there is an ignore feature. Using it makes you a massive faggot, but you can customize your experiance. This should make leniency more common unless there is an issue with a poster polluting the site or posting non sponser ads


More people is generally preferable

I think it's also worth considering the kind of clientele that a site like this draws in. We're all generally rule-breakers/rebels/rejectors of the status quo in some way, shape or form.

I've been a member of many car and motorbike forums and they run smooth a treacle compared to this place - members are rule/law abiding types, for the most part - and so the levels of strife are very low.

But then, you'll never get the same sense of community in places like that, as people tend to come and go as soon as they buy and sell a vehicle.

I'll take the feeling of community over a rule abiding userbase any day of the week, although I do wish people would be a bit kinder here.

It's rather embarrassing to have given one's entire life to pondering the human predicament and to find that in the end one has little more to say than, 'Try to be a little kinder.'
