I accepted a private debate.

I also accepted an open debate just like we normally do. Out in the open.

If Shiva is only willing to debate on his terms or not at all, then it's his issue. I'm sure other people will converse about the issue with me.

In a formal debate, the onus would be on you to first make the case for why they are good.

See, this is why I want to hold you to a formal structure, because you don't debate honestly otherwise. The terms I propose in the OP are more than reasonable, if you don't want to agree to them, and you can't propose your own terms (and no, private or informal debate is not an alternative to formal public debate), than you are unwillingly to debate. Simple as that.

Xul there are conservative arguments that you can make in a formal debate structure. If you think they are superior you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

No but thats not what Great Scott is doing he is spreading antisemitic conspiracy theories which is white nationalism. He has referred to minorities as parasites thats white nationlism.

No white nationalism is an offshoot of some very old pseudo scientific ideas about race. White nationalism is the latest iteration of this ideology but its been around a long time.

Well, I'm white and a patriot AKA nationalist. Certainly not a fan of Zionism either.

What's wrong with Jewish conspiracies? Are you the type to discredit every conspiracy or any person who entertains them? The Jews kind of are Zionists, it's not exactly a conspiracy and it isn't exclusive to Jews either.

Link 2: I would choose my words more carefully and say fascism is a way to combat communism. Obviously, shouldn't be applauded but as a historical argument with hindsight it's not obscene.

He's certainly not as simple minded as you make him out to be. I don't gather he's a white supremacist... yes that is what I hear when you say white nationalist, correct me if I'm wrong. He seems more willing to engage in good faith arguments than you suggest and takes precarious positions, which is something I can respect to an extent.

Do you suppose there are certain root truths that cannnot be proven via debate, but rather, are simply self-evident?

To be honest, when I made this thread I didn't really expect any of our far-right leaning members to actually formally debate me. Assuming you aren't someone's puppet, you'll eventually find that the more clever ones here are fairly careful to avoid getting pinned down - something that a formal debate makes impossible.

Still, as you say, the silence following each refusal to debate rings its own bell. Especially considering quite a few on this forum have accused me (and the left in general) of being unwilling to debate far-right positions because we don't want to face "difficult truths", so we shut the conversation down before it can even start. Turns out reality is quite the opposite.

I do hope that someone will step up though, because I'm honestly interested in trying my hand at a more formal style. I guess it will probably be a lefty who does eventually.

It seems like the onus is on you.

The fact you don't see anything wrong with his rhetoric is a bad sign. I know plenty of conservatives who denounce white nationalism its toxic divisive and not the way for conservatives to be taken seriously.
