Why don't the third party candidate's have their own debate?
    #3277962 - 10/26/04 03:44 AM (12 years, 1 month ago)

Instead of whining about not getting to be involved in the "debate" between bush and kerry, why not have organize a real debate with the Greens, Constitutions, Libertarians, Independants, etc. and talk about the real issues instead of partisan rhetoric? What keeps these candidates from using one another to support a stronger third party?

I agree, however they should do it on a major network so the average people can hear what they have to say.

They should...I think they all are trying to achieve "contender" status and are largely werstling over the same portion of the population(the people who are not interested in either D or R, or most Americans). The problem is that the networks won't give them the time of day and the newsmedia won't hype it because...guess why....the networks and news media are in the Dems and Reps pockets thats why.

I was under the impression that there was a debate between
the libs and greens, in florida or something, perhaps.

my point is that even if these guys do stage debates, ABC, NBC,
CBS and FOX, nevermind the major cable news outlets like
MSNBC and CNN, never air it so that a large number of people
can see the action.

the only folks that wind up seeing these debates are those that
are truly dedicated to these parties.

the core electorate probably has no idea who badnarik is and
no idea what nader wants to do if he's elected president.
