best time for a2g transfer

I have a couple of agar plate currently growing with no signs of contaminates. Would it be better if I wait till the agar is completely colonized to the edges before I transfer or do it when it reaches a certain diameter.

If you're trying to clean up a culture or get away from the spore plate you take transfers soon after you see growth. Once you have a clean healthy culture you let it grow out some so you can take big wedges for using to inoculate. Find my agar tek it goes over these questions more comprehensive
