Lets talk otc/semi-otc suppliments...aiming for mental health! Right now I got in my 5htp and took my first 100mg dose. I've been hit recently with a bit of harsh thoughts and feelings and my sleep patterns have recently changed to a 3rd shift working style of life. Intention of this post is to find out what great combo of other things can go with this. I am also saying my final good byes to my once about 10 days safty net dose of suboxone. I feel like im on the right track so far I have gathered nutrirelm mushroom coffee creamer and 5htp, thinking about checking out a ssv for some kratom. Is 5htp and kratom the way? Get at me.

St. Johns Wort but make sure it's safe to combine with 5htp
Curcumin
Lithium Orotate - this shit is supposed to be in the soil and therefore what you eat but it isn't anymore

I've been taking 5htp for nearly a year and it has a definite effect on my mood. I've actually ran out and I'm already starting to feel meh. Also been taking turmeric and pepper supplement, cant say I've noticed any difference with or without it though

I worked at whole foods for awhile and tried basically every supplement available. I've yet to find anything that works better than 15-30 minutes of cardio.
ashwaghanda, tulsi, valerian, and lemon balm work ok for anxiety but tolerance builds quickly
I'd be weary of supplementing anything like 5-htp, SAM-E, or anything concentrated for long periods of time. In many cases you're creating temporary relief while causing long-term imbalances, and actually making whatever you're trying to treat worse at baseline.

I love good advice like this from a subject that actually tried things themselves.

Im a moderate cannibis consumer so there for my dreams have been cloudy for sometime the nutrarelm mushroom coffee creamer gave me my first rememberable dreams in sometime and i also see added focus I decided just for my weight and health condition that 200 mgs of htp should suffice and produce at level. Just from what I read kratom and this 5 htp seem to have a combo goin on aiding one in other by offesting side effects of the two. It really does seem how its drawn out. But I don't care to be a test dummy either. I want to take something that is sustainable something you dont always gotta have but just does the trick I got high hopes for thi suppliment. I planned on this experince as followed for my summer PE, 2ft thrichocerus bridgeidesi > kratom > htp. Thats what I want to try. Don't care to go way deep into the logistics but the current regiment has been mescaline>gabbapentin its on another damn level together seriously. Its like 5000 grit sand paper for tripping. Just smooths the heavy.

The best mood supplement for me is catching some sun, pretty lacking in that this time of year.

Advice noted on exacerbating the situation. I will watvh the consumption of this. Im disaplined enough now that I will take a single 8mg suboxone every 10days to 2weeks for when my craving or decision i need a damn buzz comes. Ive successful moved away from hard opiates for a long time safety neting with suboxone "looking forward to the weekend" regardless it saved my life and have sustained myself. I want to make a move to kratom lets say start out 3 times a week and drop to "hey its the weekend" no longer ever taking suboxone. And have my mood stabalized durring this fase of graduation hopefully on controlled planned out doses of this 5htp.

What's you end goal though?
Simply piling on more substances isn't doing anything for your baseline level of mental health. There's a problem for a reason, and masking it chemically isn't always the best option in the long term.
Most supplements people use for mental health reasons are literally working to supplement your brain with additional neurotransmitters beyond what would normally would be produced/synthesized from food. The brain gets used to the supplementation and either stops making its own or up/downregulation of the synapses occurs. It's kind of like building a house on a crumbling foundation.
They can be used positively though, you just have to really make sure you're making gains in your lifestyle and mind state and not just treating symptoms while changing nothing.
That's why things like psychedelics are wonderful. They impact you on a deeper level than just the neurotransmitters. They give you an experience you can apply functionally to your life, which is far better than trying to pump neurotransmitters into your brain to alleviate symptoms.
Obviously everyone's different, you're coming out of addiction so it's not a quick process. It sounds like you're on the right track and moving in the right direction. It's just important to understand that the work you put into your mind state, as well as the way you structure your life, is what really will keep you well long-term.
As your brain heals, things will get easier. It takes a while to heal though, and the less you mess with the process by supplementing the quicker it can get back to homeostasis. Addiction throws everything for a loop though, sometimes things like suboxone and then different types of meds and supplements are what's needed to bridge you from the addict life back to society, it's just important to keep an end goal in sight and understand that it won't be easy and no one ever feels good all the time.

Very good and valid points.
