I'm not trolling at all actually, I'm serious about in my opinion it doesn't last more then 12 hours but I got to thinking about it and thought about tje fact that after a really intense trip i get that afterglow effect and I figured coming off higher doses then that same afterglow effect would most likely be alot stronger which I could see some people considering that as part of the trip

But I tried making the point of where with mushrooms you only trip for around 6-8 hours so eventually you get to the point where even if you increase the dosage the duration is still the same, but then somebody mentioned there trips only last 3-5 hours and only starts pushing 6-8 on mush higher doses

I mean I could be totally wrong on this but if you dose say a half oz of dried cubes your not tripping for 16 hours so eventually at some point you reach a cut off so to speak

Allow me a weird tangent to try and clear this for you.

Its like dealing with wind or water resistance in a car or boat.

Getting to the first 50 takes 10 joules(made up) getting to 100 takes 30 getting to 150 takes 60.

So when i double my energy it does not directly relate to a doubling in speed, once the restance is being met it takes a lot more to overcome...but it can be done.


5 g mush means 5 hours

8 g mush means 6

10 plus and your looking at 7ish


all rough numbers but i hope you get my idea.

I get what your saying but then where's the cut off? Eventually you reach a peak time where increasing the dosage doesn't extend the length of time any longer, eventually you get to where 10g = 7 hours but 20g also equals 7 hours (I just made up those numbers so I'm sure 20g is probably closer to 8-10 hours perhaps)

If you could duplicate yourself (replicate variables) and stand side by side taking one smaller and one larger dose than the side with the higher dose will trip longer.


How long....tbh who cares.

Itll be different for everybody and likely different everytime.
What you butted up against is a bunch of people who through first hand experience know that changing doses means changing the timings and having a hard and fast rule is redundant.


Here is a way out.


Acid trips will usually be done in under 12 hours but with the right conditions or behaviours or doses this can be extended.:elmo:

See that makes sense, but I still feel like you hit a cutoff point eventually where you can take as much as you want but it won't go past X number of hours, based off of my first hand experience and multiple others its been consistently around 12 hours with lsd whether it was a half tab or 4 tabs although I will admit that I guess TIHKAL doesn't count as a scientific paper although I'm still curious if anybody has disproven that a pure salt of lsd when shaken will emit small flashes of bright light it sounds unreasonable but would interesting to know if it does or doesn't

True I guess how long it last doesn't necessarily matter as long as you enjoy it but I still wonder where the cutoff is I mean there has to be one or else there would be reports of people eating thumbprints and tripping for days at a time or eating say a ounce of cubes and frying for 2 days

I emailed Dr David Nichols with questions about LSDs long lasting effects a couple years ago, and he replied! I was actually asking about potential for heart valve damage from continued micro dosing. You see, I had read from some of Dr Nichols research that there is a little flap on the 5HT2B receptor that the lsd molecule actually gets ‘stuck’ under for prolonged periods, which could explain the long lasting and lingering effects of lsd, which in my experience can go on for much longer than 12 hours.

I emailed to ask if this meant there was an increased risk of heart valve damage from prolonged use of lsd compared to other similar psychedelics like psilocybin:

This doesn’t prove anyone’s point or anything I just thought it was interesting and somewhat relevant to the discussion. The Dr says LSD can remain trapped under the ‘flap’ for many hours, which I think could explain the long lasting and lingering effects of lsd, which in some people can seem to persist much longer than for others.

I think that's been the theory of why it last so long for awhile was the way it hits the receptors cause them to kinda fold and lock it in place although a flap would make much more sense then the receptors actually bending over

I dont remember where I read that from though

This is absurd, I wouldn’t believe this dude unless I synthesized the batch myself, prepared it, and watched them consume it right in front of me. Even then I still wouldn’t believe how irresponsible and wasteful they were.

This sounds like some fantasy story cooked up by a teenager. Or...maybe they really believe they consume this much but whoever supplies them also thinks it’s wasteful and pointless as well and just gives them 2 vials of something like 6-10 hits each diluted knowing they or anyone else wouldn’t know the difference anyway after that dose so everyone wins, they get to think they’re eating some absurd amount and feel.. cool? ..or something.. and the supplier gets a gigantic markup on these tards each year 😕
