Pet store Timothy hay for oyster mushrooms

Yo.
Couldn’t find any straw around my parts. Found a pet store with straw. Got two bags of Timothy brand hay. Now that I been searching on here I really regret buying it. Cost me 10$. But that’s 10$ that could have got me a shit load of straw.
Also read that it contams easily.
This sucks. Should I use it to mess around or should I buy keep searching for straw and buy a hamster ?

Buy a hampster and pick up a 40lb bag of hard wood fuel pellets from the tractor store/Home Depot

Yeah pellets are 6.99 at my hardware store, and the other hardware store next town over has bales of straw for 6 bucks.

Go hampster shopping bruh XD

Whao. Just looked it up.  Looks like I’m ordering some filter bags. 
Thanks guys. I can probably do lions mane like this aswell.
Yeah I’m saving the hay for a hamster or guinea pig now. Haha.
