People who win the lottery and dont know what to do * 1

I live in a pretty redneck town. My girlfriend works at dunkin donuts and one of her coworkers just won 5 million dollars on a scratch off ticket.

This guy is a crazy alcoholic in his mid-40s and shows up to work every day drunk as hell and just constantly drinks all the time and chews tobacco. Thats like all he does.

Luck must be on his side because he drives drunk literally every day and his car is always full of empty beer cans and he's never gotten a dui.

He won 5 million dollars 2 weeks ago and still shows up at work at dunkin donuts because he has nothing better to do. He said something along the lines of "now i don't gotta worry about booze and tabaccy money no more". He doesnt even pay for rent because he just crashes at his friend's place. All his paychecks were just going to booze and tobacco to begin with so now he just shows up to work because he's bored. And the boss keeps him around because he needs to keep a certain amount of people employed there to get his monthly bonus. As far as i know his life is no different now than it was before he won 5 million dollars.

What would you do with 5 million dollars?

Pay off my parent's mortgage and keep living with them while I learn how to become a landlord or some shit, I don't really wanna live by myself for some reason... but if I had 5 mil it wouldn't be hard finding a chick that would be down with just getting a room or banging at her place

eventually I'd get my own place (with her) and live off the passive income I learned how to generate

What a weird story. I honestly thought he would start buying lots of ridiculous shit. Guess not. :shrug:

If i won 5 Million, I would buy all the standard stuff, small mansion, boats, jet skis, quads, cars, ya know guy toys. Then i will build a chem lab and make my own drugs. After that, travel the world and after that invent something to sell and to make more money. I might keep my job cause Ive heard some bad stories where people win the lottery and go full bankrupt, and lose everything. A curse and a blessing.
