Yes it's a he said she said problem. Was his visa in the U.S. even valid if he had resigned his position whilst in the country? One for the court to look at, which would require her to have citizenship.

I'd say it's more an 'abuse of power problem' for sure, which leads back to the whole point of the OP.

The U.S. government's legal position is that the government's records show that Muthana's father held diplomatic status until February 6, 1995 — which is after Muthana's birthdate of October 28, 1994. The government's position is that this means Muthana herself was not a U.S. citizen at birth

Yes and her father is saying he gave evidence showing he resigned months before she was born.

This is one of the problems with Trump, he seems to think everything has a simple answer.
He really has nothing to loose by allowing this matter to make it's way through the courts.

Trump is the state department for all intents and purposes. It is under the purview of the executive branch.
