@user above me "yeah" i am looking at that book and will probably try and get a copy, but it looks extremely pseudoscientific and i can't say i'm holding out a lot of hope.

if you're not even willing to try something that is 100% free after figuring out how to do it then I can't really feel sorry for you

here, I'll tell you what you can do right now.

Go here first: https://www.normalbreathing.com/learn-8-diaphragmatic-breathing.php

You have to have an empty stomach and can't be wearing too many layers (you'll get warm doing this and if you overheat it won't work)

get outside and walk while closing your mouth and pinching your nose until you get moderate to strong air hunger, unpinch your nose and take 1 or 2 deep breaths (through your nose), then exhale and hold your breath for 2-5 seconds. Find a pattern of exhaling and holding your breath with periods of uncontrolled breathing that provides some difficulty but isn't too extreme.

once you're ready for another go then go back to walking while holding your breath and pinching your nose.

You build up enough co2 that after 10 minutes it crosses the blood brain barrier and resets your medula oblongata (breathing center).

So do the whole thing for at least 12 minutes.

nasal breathe 24/7, don't sleep on your back or left side

or you can keep suffering while useless doctors run urine/blood tests and tell you to wait for a week, your choice.

i was referring more to the book you suggested which was $20+. i'll try whatever that's free. if it helps even a lil bit i'll get that book. i just don't know how a psychosomatic breathing issue could cause this pain in my chest in a very specific spot.

@koods i do a little bit. i don't have a productive cough or anything tho.

if nothing else at least i quit smoking out of this bullshit :awesome: i'm coming up on a month.

I thought you were having dyspnea.

But Co2 is a strong muscle relaxant so a lack of it can cause stiffness/pain, especially in the chest.
