We've got another nuclear cold war brewing with Russia, giant ice caps with huge holes in them that if they break loose will raise the ocean by 10 meters, pollution almost beyond repair( and not slowing down) ....The ocean are fucked beyond belief, massive political and social unrest in all countries.

WELL HOT DAMN.

I need to invest in my "bug out kit" with gas masks and bullet proof vests and secret caches of canned sardines and ammunition...

And sex toys. We all know everyone's going to be stressed out in the apocalypse and sex toys will be worth more than gold.

I would pack a lot of duct tape, use it to seal all orifices in case of radiation. Remember the helpful rhyme "start with the anus, your death will be painless!".

Bring vitamins, blood-diapers, and nyquil. A russian to english dictionary, and a picture of your face to staple over your real face when it starts to melt.

That should do it!

I don't think Russia will use nukes again.  I read online  they did in 1983 on Israel.  Most were shot down if true.

I think Russia or anybody would pay dearly from God if they use WMD's.  God loves karma!

A bug out kit is your brain.  You habe to go crazy to survive.  Death is easier.  It'd all be a rainbow gathering.  That's why farming skills and road kill dinners are good.  Mre's are for troops.

People would say anything for a russian mre!  People don't talk much for drugs.

Heard one landed in Cuba.  Disn't target any high level anti americans though.

Imsaw something twinkling in the sky.  Looked like a space anomoly.  Pretty sweet.  It was in the south east early in the night.

Nukes are just a red herring imo. It'd be more devastating to wreck the power grid than it would be to drop a nuke. Regardless of what you're worried about though making sure your ass isn't flapping in the breeze like everybody else when problems strike is smart. I can't remember what I was reading but iirc the average american household only has enough food to last a week. Any food storage and water storage that would last you a few months would put you way ahead of the curve in that regard. Millions would probably be dead before you've even run out of food.

Honestly though while I fully advocate disaster preparedness I don't think you should be so rushed into it that you allocate money to it that needed to go somewhere else (such as rent or other bills). Just make it a habit to buy more than you need each week when you go to the store so your stockpile builds naturally. An emphasis on the "fishing rod" rather than just the "fish" is also wise. In other words consider water filtration instead of solely stock piling water, maybe grow your own food on the side like potatoes and stuff, etc.

You can get antibiotics for fish from Thomas labs.. Condor plate carriers are dope too. Go for multicam when you can. And ar500 level 3 plates are a good place to start for body armour.

Also mestal safety makes a good gas mask. It's bullet resistant.. and use gunbot.net or ammoseek.com for bulk ammo.

Yeah I was looking at bullproof level 3 tactical vests. $300 for a really good one that will stop a desert eagel 50 cal..... Level 4 plate inset for an additional $120. will stop a 30 odd 6 point blank.

Level 4 can stop AK rounds I believe.  also, you want potassium iodide not iodine.

What you're preparing for seems to be more in the vein of trench warfare than nuclear apocalypse. If the nukes drop, I don't know that bullet proof vests would be too useful. The conflict would be over in a few days at most, there wouldn't be much time to gas inhabitants or invade with foot soldiers.
