Hydrogen Peroxide in the Perlite??🙄🤔

I just came across this while reading on a different website as part of instructions, “You can add a half cup of hydrogen peroxide directly to the perlite every few weeks to keep the perlite free of bacteria”
How true is this? Has/does anyone do this? Should I?

Nah that's not needed, perlite is not succeptable to contaminates :thumbup:

I found one SGFC of mine that had a bit of what looked like algae growing in one corner. Some chlorine spray sorted that out.

But :whathesaid:

treating your perlite periodically isn't needed.
