Reason for deletion: Replies defeat the purpose my question and they're not helping. It's so annoying that an experienced user, who has over 10K posts, can just ignore the question and reply as "use a food dehydrator"

I’m pretty sure desiccant is used for storing them once they are already completely dry. You put desiccant in the container with fruits and it keeps moisture from collecting and causing mold.

You can also do that I guess, but mainly it's used to make them cracker dry after you dry it.

Good luck with that. Desiccant is for keeping dry ones dry. Besides that the drying time will be days this way and the longer it takes to dry

Hot moving air. I recently did an experiment where I decided to see how many ways I could dry some shrooms without my dehydrator.

I laid some near my heater vent, in front of electric heaters, and a few other methods. As long as there was hot moving air, they dried up 100% and looked great. It really shocks me that anyone would struggle to dry shrooms. This is simple shit.

Reason:
2.  Do not ask a question, and then when you get your answer, delete your original post as if we're your personal unpaid research assistants.  For every poster, there's 1000 lurkers who use the search engine to find their answers and never post.  Don't screw them by deleting your question, thus making the search engine return crap.  Users who violate this rule will be officially warned, and repeat offenders will be banned.

If you don't have a dehydrator buy one or make one...
