What recipe are you using to make the tea?
Are you chopping your shrooms up into TINY pieces when making tea?

Also you’re not dosing high enough?  1.5g?  I had some tea a couple weeks ago and dosed 13g

How much would you say breaking them up helps with making tea? Last time I didn't break them up that well. I put the shrooms in a coffee filter with a twist tie and threw them in then braught to a boil for 20 minutes and they felt weak. Then same batch my microdoses hit me hard

You have to almost grind them up, I use a coffee grinder, or soak them for a really long time if you don't grind them.


Here is my method
Grind dried shooms and add to glass
Squirt with lemon juice
Pour some boiling water over them and stir for a few minutes
Drink the whole thing

That's pretty much exactly what I said after others said the same except without filtering the shrooms, which is the whole point.

The freezing them fresh actually ruined them, and then the boiling. NEVER freeze fresh mushrooms, active or not.

Actually if your gonna make tea with them you can freeze fresh mushrooms, thats how alot of people did it in the 70's and the tea was still very much active

The point of making tea for me isn't to filter out the solids. I make tea because I can add lemon to it and I find that it kicks in much faster and harder and it also wears off quicker which are all benefits to me. I swallow the mushrooms too just to make sure I'm not wasting anything.

I usually just eat them but tea can be nice as well, maybe even a different kind of trip.  Tea will have you coming up faster and coming down faster too.  In my experience fresh lemon juice absolutely potentiates the effects of the shrooms, if that is your goal then add that. You don't have to boil shrooms for a good tea, but get the water hot and make the surface area:volume ratio high for the shrooms before adding them to your hot water, but not for hours, jeebus lol. Just use enough water you can comfortably drink, don't worry about reducing volume.  This shouldn't need to be complicated. You can eat the shroom dregs for maximal potency but if you aren't using enough shrooms to question if you've had enough you aren't really tripping :lol:

Once dry, simply place them in a plastic zip lock bag and put them in your freezer. Frozen mushrooms and truffles can be stored pretty much indefinitely. IMPORTANT: Never freeze fresh magic mushrooms and truffles, this will destroy their internal cell membrane structure, greatly diminishing potency.

All mushroom cell walls get destroyed by freezing. If you're not planning on thawing them big fucking deal, you can boil them later they'll be fine. Then again there absolutely no point in ever freezing mushrooms, especially dry ones.

I had a friend that froze fresh actives and they didn't work after they thawed. :shrug:

The link is to my search "does freezing fresh mushrooms ruin them". Peruse at your own leisure. I have seen it ruin them. I have tried fresh frozen actives, it ruins the alkaloids.

Well we just have to agree to disagree then because both me and bod have said it doesnt make a difference, they store psilocybin at near freezing temps in labs where they do studies on it

Try an experiment with a grow sometime maybe.:shrug: If they are freezing just the drug then that seems OK. I just know from the one time I have had them and a friend had the same experience. He actually gave me the frozen ones to see if it was him not feeling it, I didn't feel them either. If you grow a lot try freezing a fresh dose worth. It really is the only way for you to see. If you do, please report back.:grin: I'm not arguing, just stating my experience, It's all good as the saying goes!

Probably didn't work before hand then. A freezer wont ruin actives
