Pathology
    #2572809 - 04/18/04 01:28 AM (19 years, 11 months ago)

Interesting stuff, pathologies.

Sometimes when we get sick we're attacked by a physical thing like a bacteria, a virus, a poison, or radiation, but we can get sick from abstract things too.

Beware the evil metaphors! They're everywhere. I don't think metaphor is quite the right word, but you know.. stress, various kinds of emotional distress. noisy stuff.. the UNEXPLAINED you might say.

Some might say demon possession, evil spirits or negative vibes, I don't really care to much for those choices of words as they remind me of dungeons and dragons games, and I may not be communicating too well what my point in this post is (prolly cause I don't have one)

but all I'd like to do is acknowledge and put out there that there are all kinds of immaterial "things" out there that have powerful effects on our material selves and we have no ability to measure them. Read between the lines "THEY" have written and you'll find a complete disregard for all things immaterial. If you're on this website I think you must acknowledge that our species is very sick in a way the newspapers don't know how to report.

Alarming isn't it?

Though I acknowledge that this is a possibility, since it cannot be measure then how could it be proven?

positive ions can also make us sick.

things like computer monitors, which you and i are staring at right now, project tons of positive ions toward us each second. also televisions, and if i remember right many other electronics.

negative ions, on the other hand, have been shown to have positive effects on the health of humans. there are many negative ions in the mountains and around water and trees.

CRTs fire electrons. Electrons have a negative charge.

Yes but they don't emit negative ions, either

CRTs produce X-Rays (when the electrons slam into the shadow mask near the front of the screen) but almost all of those x-rays are absorbed by the front layers of the screen. CRT radiation isn't an issue these days.

totally man, the world is full of mental traps to pull your persona into the downward spiral of negativity. It is hard sometimes to overcome the effects of society.
