Growing mushrooms in public?
    #25732156 -

So my friend has some strict ass parents but wants to grow mushrooms. I noticed that the humidity chamber needs very little maintenance and you can leave it literally anywhere not under direct sunlight and the mushrooms will grow. So he knows a few spots that have thick ass bushes that he can hide the tubs in.

Its high risk, high reward. Just go into the woods with a backpack, come out with a pound of mushrooms. Let me know what yall think of this risky idea.

You gotta keep in mind neighbors noticing you walking into the wood everyday unless he's on land by himself. Otherwise I personally would advise against it just cause you'll have a better eye and less worry in a more controlled environment. Cheers -TheLostBoys

How are you gonna going PC grains in the kitchen? Maybe you should just wait until you have your own place. If it's your parents property, still putting them at risk. And you won't end up with lbs. And an enclosed tub outside, will get extremely warm on the inside. Best bet, would to make an outdoor patch, instead of trying to hide a tub in the bushes, lol.

You only gotta check up on a humidity chamber like once a week.

Better off to do an outdoor patch. Tubs outside will get way overheated, like getting in a hot car in the summer. You can even cover the patch with leafs, so it looks natural.

Don't patches take longer to grow?

Haven't grown one, but logic tells me tubs in bushes is a recipe for failure. Trapped Bugs, over heating, stagnant air on a calm day, tons of fail opportunities presented by mother nature and a tub.

Don't forget, you'll have to dry your pounds of mushrooms before they rot,

mushrooms out in nature where they grow naturally. a sure recipe for disaster

but yeah, it'd be less conspicuous to just bury your sub/start a patch. We talkin cubes? I've never done that but in the proper conditions wouldn't it fruit in the same timeframe as an outdoor tub?

Rent a house. Grow all the mush. No regrets. Come over to the oat side...
