Not trolling just curious.. I have more of a laissez faire attitude towards things I cant control.

We are in the interglacial period. Temperatures and sea levels had been essentially stable for the 2000 years leading up to the Industrial Age, where both began to rise.

Where is the base material going to come from? How are we going to replace nature's cycles?

We can't even figure out how to stop insects eating 40% of our food, what makes you think we'll be able to figure out how to feed 10 billion people?

Well insects are disappearing so that won't be a problem soon.

And according to the Aztecs, in 2012 an old age ended and now a New Age begins, starting in 2012. A pot of people thought 2012 would be a global disaster. But really its the mark of a New Age for Earth. Were in the beginning of it now, gradually easing into it.

It was the Mayans, and who made them an authority on the future. Their calendar ran out of dates. That’s it. There was nothing special about 2012

I've been doing environmental restorations for about fifteen years now , what is really needed is a collective group effort , sort of like motivation of capitalism in the vehicle of environmentalism , because like every system that isn't completely broken , where resources exist ( namely biological specimens in production facilities , tree farms , fish farms , plastic bio breakdown facilities etc etc etc ) you can fix the problem

The current problem is only a few care to change and the rest keep a 'fuck it its fucked ' m.o. about changing it . Example . One oak tree in the U.S. Supports roughly 250 types of insect species , of which 20 or so bird types eat , of which a few disperse seeds from other trees and so forth .

The capitalistic structure we have currently is not on the same page as environmental solutions , when that changes ...if ever then the problem will solve itself , till then I'd bet you will see Wealthy humans fence off little pockets of naturalized and food bearing plots that will at the end collapse .

I don't know how to solve it without everyone on board , so I personally just research native plants and local host insect species and how to attract any wildlife into an urban area and do that part , mainly to do what I can and disable my own apathy and provide an ability to sleep a little sounder at night ....but I know my kids kids are fucked if no one completely changes , and I just try to teach them to be able to be self sufficient as possible .

There's lots of information on living off the land by making it possible , few try to . Example , I converted a 1/8 acre city plot into a solar powered urban garden that had a greenhouse ( 1950s converted garage ) 9 fruit bearing trees , host plants for wildlife , a canning garden and water storage on a very meager and dumpster diving budgets and reclaimed material reuse ,......but it took 7 years ! From a corner to corner grass lot and lousy house to something I could survive .....sadly only a few months if a collapse happened .....but fuck, if everyone had that , and city's were on board , say planting fruit trees for road side shade instead of 9 times out of 10 an alien species of shade tree .

You could do a lot if the education was there and the support , but as it is , most cities are not relatively connected with a dynamic system that helps each other system without some major capital gains for one private area , it seems .

Still , I keep planting , and collecting wildlife , bring it home wait for offspring , take it out and reintroduce it in areas that are dying . If it catches on then salvation , if not then i personally tried and can die knowing that I wasn't a fuck lazy apathetic human who just sat in the it's not my problem group especially since I know how much I contribute to problem as a direct and passive consumer , it's the least I can do . I'm currently now working on a fish for food and soil remediation project that is only a few thousand gallons , and uses leftover dinner to feed the fish , this is especially important considering fish , unless farmed , is heavy metal tainted .

There is also a easy solar to heat pump project that is in the works all from salvaged material s . And a electric vehicle conversion , from again , reclaimed materials . The point is , a hell of a lot of help can be used to change a failing system of effort and energy is applied and it gets past its activation energy to products . If not enough is applied , well , it's back to the reactants , namely fucked climate and dead planet or dead humans a surviving planted , dinosaur jrs .

Micro farming is also a rewarding emotional hobby . If anyone is interested I would more than happy be able to share my successes and pitfalls with this in pm . Even send out some good sapling and shrub samples , I have some Chinese chestnut saplings that produce delicious fruits and even though it isn't a native to the east coast it supplants the eastern chestnut that suffered such blights over the last few centuries to support boar and deer population needs . For what it is worth .

The really important facts were that spatial relationships had ceased to matter very much and that my mind was perceiving the world in terms of other than spatial categories. At ordinary times the eye concerns itself with such problems as where? — how far? — how situated in relation to what? In the mescaline experience the implied questions to which the eye responds are of another order. Place and distance cease to be of much interest. The mind does its perceiving in terms of intensity of existence, profundity of significance, relationships within a pattern."

I'm glad to see your attitude changing a little. Just a day or two ago you were saying there's nothing but degenerate shitposting going on in the pub, and for new comers to stay away from it.

Everyone here soon will.

https://pamplinmedia.com/sp/68-news/406644-304467-lawsuit-filed-to-halt-sale-of-timber-

Cutting down fire resistant old growth in the claims of fighting wildfire is a fucking weak cover for selling timber.

This shit will not stand.  I'm going to sign up with some volunteer groups to combat this bullshit.  I'll go the legal route first, but if that fails we're going old school ELF on this shit.
