It ominously and unequivocally opens:

Thoughts? I cried for a good long time after reading this. It's tremendously upsetting to think that all this natural beauty may well be lost forever and nobody seems to give a shit. Trump and his supporters are responsible for downplaying this threat, but this report, the product of years of work by government scientists, unambiguously states that climate change will drastically change many areas of human life. This isn't only your children's problem, your grandchildren's problem, or polar bears' problem. It's YOUR problem. The Earth has and will continue to warm noticeably during our lifetimes.

And I've only mentioned increasing temperatures. Ecosystems are collapsing. An estimated 30-50% of species will be extinct at the end of this century. In the same period of time my home city of New Orleans will see a five-foot sea level rise. This is a huge deal for a city that lies below sea level.

100 corporations cause about 70% of carbon emissions and the best the US can do is ban straws. I'm not sure who I despise more, conservatives ignoring a worldwide scientific consensus or liberals using this as a political ploy.

March. Riot. Spike trees. Monkeywrench polluters whenever possible.
There's so fucking much to lose.

It's not upsetting to me at all. Exactly the opposite, it's freaking awesome! Fever is a normal symptom of a body fighting off an infection. I only hope and pray that the Earth's immune response will be sufficient to completely fight off the horrible illness that is humanity. The Earth and it's inhabitants will recover, what's a few million years here or there for a planet, but only if it manages to rid itself of this horrific infection, and the sooner, the better.

Yup, its been fully realized.

I bet its only going to get worst. We may be past the point of no return. Its a sad time indeed.

With some kind of miracle, maybe the world will realize what humans are doing to planet Earth and do something about it :shrug:

Sure do, and fucking disgusted and horrified by that fact. I'm just aware that I am just another cancerous cell, have no intention of producing more cancerous cells, and have very little attachment to this existence. Can't wait for it to end in fact. Maybe for you "real" humans, what the human race is doing is great and revolutionary. But for me, every square foot of concrete, every car, every factory, everything is just a very obvious terrifying symptom of a horrible disease.

Meh, great extinctions are a natural part of evolution. We'll kill most, but the survivors will adapt and evolve into something new and awesome. Hopefully there will be no one to see it (and destroy it).

The Survivors might turn into a super human species that is even more dangerous to the earth and then you are going to be wishing the humans never died out. But by then it will be too late, and the earth really will be destroyed.
