I love nature too it makes me happy and feel human. It saddens me to see such beauty destroyed. Cities are nothing more than cancerous growths.

I hope that I can purchase more land far far away from urban areas. Where I currently have property is out in the country but it's only a matter of time before it's infected with urbanism. I think in 20 years (or less) property value will sky rocket and I can then sell and build a new homestead. Transporting thousands of cactus will be a challenge but well worth it.

Exactly. When someone says humanity needs to be wiped out, they mean everyone but themselves and maybe a couple friends. Hopefully when this happens people don’t abandon their cars on the road because the main reason for wishing everyone was dead is so you can drive as fast as you want.

Exactly.

U cant want mass extinction and not think humans will not go thru it as well. Its a global ecology. Everything is interconnected and interdependent to an extent even if u dont realize it.

The Earth already produces more than enough food to feed everyone on it. It's a distribution problem, not a production problem.

Our demand for food requires phosphate and nitrogen fertilizers. The haber process supplies our demand for nitrogen by fixing atmospheric nitrogen as ammonia. Our phosphate comes from mining phosphate rock. These are finite resources and when they run out we will not be able to support the current population.

Hasn't the globe been warming since the *last* ice age? Hasnt there been many ice ages? Would it be unrealistic of me to suppose that perhaps there will be another one and that we really have no idea when it is will happen?


Not trolling just curious.. I have more of a laissez faire attitude towards things I cant control.

I mean, if lab grown food means we get to completely fuck up the earth, not give any fucks and reside in a sterile planet I'm all in.

We've got to squash all non-human life so it doesn't rise up and take over.

But really, I'm all about lab grown meat if it means cheaper food and less destructive agricultural practices.
