How many are suicide how many are homicide. Those stats include both.

Ny has 4 times the population density but more than 4 times the homicide gun deaths.

105.2 people per square mile in Wisconsin in 2010
97 gun homicides

415.3. people per square mile in NY state in 2010
517 gun homicides.

most of NY is crowded. I'm in closer proxemity to all mass shootings and stray bullets.

Most of Wisconsin is dispersed. I'm far less likely to be near a shooting or stray bullet.

In Wisconsin I stay away from the murder hotspots. They're localized largely to the poor communities around the two "big" cities.

NY has a far less ownership percentage and less guns per capita. And stronger laws. Yet in a crowd you're more likely to be murdered via gun in NY.

People are going to off themselves one way or another but in Wisconsin we have guns to do it so gun death percentages and gun statistics can be gerrymandered by people with political convictions to skew to their viewpoints.
Whatever #s and %s agree with my viewpoint are the most relevant and trustworthy. An idiots guide to being a republican or democrat in modern society.

Stats are retarded. If a gun saves an innocent life in any situation, be it bank robbery, assault without a deadly weapon, animal attack, etc they should be legal. Cars kill and injure way more people than guns do every year and we don't ban guns. We tell ourselves that our lives are enhanced so greatly that this sacrifice is worth making. How sick is that? Millions of people die each year from car accidents, but since it's more convienant to get to the grocery store with a car rather than grow/hunt/gather food we allow all those deaths.

Episodal statistics are inherently flawed since you think you can use one negative episode to cancel out a positive episode, when in reality if you're about to get mauled by a bear and Hitler comes out of nowhere and distracts the bear saving your life, you wouldn't be so quick be like, yea go back in time and kill hitler.

Guns per capita in Wisconsin is higher than in a lot of less safe states. During hunting season Wisconsin would have the equivalent to the 8th largest army in the world in gun power.
There's 14 million hunters in the states. Texas and Wisconsin are powerhouses of guns+hunting. Yet these two states have more guns per capita and less gun crime per capita than many other states



This in and of itself is why conservatives should push for gun control discussion. Not necessarily legislation....lol

They just need parents. But they have kids as kids. The cycle continues to go on. Should the government go in an sterilize poor people... No. But maybe society should do something about it.

The death rate with vehicles is also through the roof if you select data from the areas of high gun crimes. Wrecking cars left and right.

I don’t think there’s an immediate solution culturally.  Massive reform over a long time but, what would some basic federal gun laws hurt?

No high-cap mags. No high-cap semi autos to begin with.  Tighter ownership restrictions with regard to training and safety protocol as well as more psychological evaluation. 

What exactly does it hurt.?

Banning forces alternative routes. It will speed up the 3D gun manufacturing industry and push it underground. Which will also lead the way for torrent guns and this will make even more angry looking fast shooting guns more accessible and popular. Especially among the groups of people that should have them the least. The people who don't give a fuck about rules and laws.

You ever work in a machine shop? I did it for years.  Certified autocad and machinist. 

No, they can’t just pump out guns.  A handful under the radar but I assure you, one little incident and they’d track you down quick.  The coolant, the end mills and tools, the steel. 

Sorry but I think that’s so silly and for the last time, gun control isn’t about grabbing guns, it’s about regulating the production and distribution.

Fuck, why am I still doing this?  Gun laws have worked in so many other countries.  Mountains of evidence and all I ever get back is fantasies and bull shrimp and hand sitters while kids are getting shot. 

Fine.  Keep your toys but it’s time to quit calling the US the greatest country on earth
