What do you mean the guns laws didnā€™t help? He used a handgun because you canā€™t buy an ar-15 in a California gun store. Gun laws probably saved dozens more people from being killed.

People who argue against gun laws seem to be incapable of understanding that there are more outcomes than just shootings or no shootings. Less deadly shootings are very much a win.

Weā€™ve been having the same discussion since columbine and people are still giving handjobs to the nra.  People are  still mowed down every four days and itā€™s the same old ā€œactual discussionā€ about gun laws not working when thereā€™s a literal world of evidence to say otherwise.  I literally work for non-profits that support common sense gun laws.  I havenā€™t heard an ā€œactualā€ new argument against gun laws In 20 years.

Probably from someone making illegal sale to California. When they find them they should be prosecuted. Even better if you have national law banning those mags then much of the problem goes away. State gun control can only do so much. We donā€™t have customs control at state borders.

Have you ever wondered why people arenā€™t mowed down with uzis and other machine guns anymore? That used to be the rage back in the 20s and 30s. Then machine guns were banned. You canā€™t get an uzi in the US legally anymore. the total lack of machine gun based crime also seems to indicate you canā€™t really get them on the black market ether. The machine gun ban works.  Gun control works.

oh bullshit u cant get a machine gun in the us the fucking vegas shooter could have had a fucking mounted m60 over the crowd if he wanted to and obtained it legally. and guess what koods most of those thompsons n shit used in those crimes werent legally purchased they were stolen or bought from national guard depots and the like. u no cuz gangsters n shit. any more brain benders? :derpyouverymuch:

Anyone can cross the boarder to Oregon, Nevada, or Arizona and buy one of those mags over the counter.  We used to be able to just buy guns in the street here in Oregon legally until 2015.

I bought my first duck gun in a parkinglot.

That's why we're pushing for comprehensive federal regulations like the assault weapons ban we had for a bit.


Your arguments have so many holes in them they look like they attended concerts in Vegas.

It has been illegal to import, manufacture, sell or purchase a machine gun in the United States for private use since 1986. There are exemptions for law enforcement and military and for machine guns made before 1986.

while i dont think parking lot sales should be legal i dont see how banning extended mags does anything. hell i could just carry 10 guns loaded on a vest and fucking never have to reload n thats 100 rounds easy. my point is these laws have no basis in reality and cause an Irrational fear among the public.

The fear is real because people are being mowed down in the street with legally obtained military style weapons.

Ten guns with 10 bullets are less harmful than one with 100 bullets. One of the rationales of gun control is to make things like mass murder harder to commit and less deadly. Having to reload or grab a new gun is an opportunity to confront or run away. Handguns are less deadly than long guns because the bullet fired from a handgun has a lot less energy than the same fired from a rifle. the trauma to the body is far more devasting with a rifle. Handguns require closer engagement as well. Gun control isnā€™t intended to stop gun violence completely. That is an absurd goal. Gun control is mean to reduce gun deaths.

And you donā€™t have the right to own a machine gun or a semiautomatic. Those are not weapons the 2nd amendment protects.

why can't someone own ten hand guns they love each with a passion for different reasons! there is nothing malicious or anything about it. some ppl just like interesting mechanisms. some ppl just like history. some ppl just like throwing rocks at paper as something to mark to better themselves. i mean who are u to say they are wrong? this is what im talking about.

I actually grew up shooting.  I was a 1000 in a row club member as a trap shooter.  A mile marker finalist in dynamite shoots as a teenager.  I wasnā€™t  just good I was totally phenomenal and I still have 30/20 vision. 

Wanna know what Iā€™d do with ten guns if I was being shot at in a crowd? Iā€™d drop them and fucking run.  Wanna know why? Cause I grew up with guns and Have an intimate knowledge of how they work.
