If you mean the mushrooms in your gallery, they're Mycena. Definitely nothing active.

They only grow where sheep shit.
So ideally find sheep and they should be there.
They most often grow out of the grass.
I also have better luck on slopes or hills .
If you are in the UK you may have left it a bit late, but this season was crappy anyway.

Tbh, that was a really stupid thing to do. The edibility of most Mycena species are unknown, some are known to be poisonous. I don't know what species these are, Mycena are notoriously difficult to identify to species, it could take microscopy to identify them. Hopefully a Trusted Identifier will see this thread and give you some better advise.

Its not going to be poisonous (I think), but it is a very very very stupid idea to eat random mushrooms.
Show your friends this next time they want to eat random shrooms in the hope of getting high.
I said sheep because in the UK, where I assume OP is, sheep fields are where you find libs, not cows or goats lol.

Some Mycena sp. are reported to contain muscarine, but likely in quite low doses.
Can't tell for sure regarding this specific find, as most of the species in this genus have
probably not been analysed for toxins.

So while they might do no harm, it is by default considered dangerous to ingest mushrooms
you haven't identified as edible and/or psychoactive. Please tell your friend to wait until you've
actually found some liberty caps, and are 100% sure of their identity.

I'm dumbfounded how some people are willing to risk their health in hopes of getting high. :badshroom::confused:

They're lucky they didn't find a Conocybe Sp., which resembles Psilocybe Semilanceata just as little, and eat that instead. Then they'd be in trouble.
