I'm sorry lads, but im laughing at your misfortune
up nr manchester, we're starting to get stupid, found 768 yesterday (saturday). Also found 201 on thursday when i went after college, ate 120 and level fived.
heres what you're missing...

The ones on the newspaper (401) are mine, the ones in the lunchbox (367) are my little brothers, took roughly 4 hours to pick. I ate about 80 and then had a brew with another 80 in later on, the brew just made me tired and made my legs ache though, thats the trouble with free mushrooms, there just aint enough seratonin to go round
Hope you guys get the rain soon, our season peaks mid october, and then you can hardly walk for stepping on them!
Later, mshrm.

hi all,
on a similar note last year i found some liberty caps with a cap about 40-50mm across!! they were true monsters, they were also over 100mm tall. I didn't know they even got that big. And im still dancing for more sun at the moment down here near London, its been a really good season for certain plants so far ;-) , im hoping it will last just a few more weeks. Last year i was picking liberty caps well into December so im sure us Londoners will have our share soon. If i find some more monsters this year ill get a few pics and maybe some spore prints.

In reply to:

If its you first shrooms for a while especial lib then they should of KO you. But I think it could be the weather over here in the uk is just not right yet for them to grow propaly. I once ate about 100 with some fly agaric, things where slightly trippy but it didnt seem to do much though.

Last year down here in Kent, it took at least 2 weeks of pretty frequent heavy rain to stimulate them to grow. Last year i was out looking from beginning of September but didn't find any libs until this time last year, and then only a handfull. The main flush started second week in October. But due to the nice weather this year i dont reckon ill be seeing them until the end of October. I went out the other day to 2 good fields and found not one shroom of ANY type growing in the grass (there were a few tree loving shrooms, but even they were old and rotting). This time last year i was finding a few liberty caps and many other different shrooms. Personally im not going to try again for a couple of weeks at least.
Hope this helps,
Ashley
