Don't forget to vote! * 1
    #25595374 -

Just wanted to remind all the U.S. shroomerites to vote today. It is midterm but at least in my state there are some pretty important issues to vote on.

Let it be seen that you are nothing. And in knowing that you are nothing... there is nothing to lose, there is nothing to gain. What can happen to you? Something can happen to the body, but it will either heal or it won't. What's the big deal? Let life knock you to bits. Let life take you apart. Let life destroy you. It will only destroy what you are not.

Governor, state representative, and other state level politics mostly. Other than that every state has different issues they're voting on. For instance North Dakota and Michigan are voting to legalize recreational marijuana. Then in Ohio they are voting to decriminalize possession of all drugs. So there are a few cool issues happening.

Wow. I wish people voted for issues in Canada. As far as i know we don't. But to be able to vote for specific issues like drug decriminalization, thats a cool concept.

Only on the state level. Other than that for federal issues we vote for representatives for the state and each county in the state. Then they are supposed to vote the federal issues supporting the things they said they would but that doesn't always work out.

State level is cool though how some of the issues we get to vote on. Other state issues are decided by governor and state House of Representatives.

In all the polls it was ahead but we will see. Polls are not always accurate.

They also aren't presenting it as decriminalization which helps. It moves all felonious possession to misdemenor with no jail time unless it's your 3rd offense in 2 years.

So not full decriminalization but definitely a step forward. Ohio is really hit hard by the opiate epidemic.

Never said it's legalizing drug possession but it's further decriminalizing it. In most states possession of certain drugs is an automatic felony and jail time. I think this is relatively progressive.

One vote makes no difference. Elections never win by one vote.

So i can skip it with zero difference to government.

your opposition is counting on enough people on "your side" agreeing with you to not vote and to just stay home
One vote makes no difference, but when a few hundred thousand of you all decide to go "meh, my vote makes no difference" it adds up

Sorry Logic, this is bullshit.

That's the kind of attitude that gets you a Trump.

We've had a lot of close calls in Oregon that could have used some less apathy.
