PNW ID Request possible pans?
    #25576498 -

I think i might have 2 or 3 different species here. I found them in a large field that had about 3 feet of compost stacked on it for the duration of around 10 years. We recently cleared the compost off the entire field and its just a beautiful plot of plants and random mushrooms now. Lots and lots of wood chips. There will be a spore print coming soon.

When you say "compost", what do you mean? Is it composted manure or just compost organic matter without manure?

organic matter, but my impression was that this species can also grow in well fertilized lawns or something like that.

It can, it will colonize grasses that are heavily fertilized or fertilized with manure, I believe it is more sprayed fertilizer instead of non manured compost,  I could be wrong,  but when lawns have fertilizer sprayed on it, the grasses and mycelium are able to utilize that fertilizer easier than breaking down organic matter that isn't high in Nitrogen like manure. When manure gets wet it starts leaching out the nutrients, regular plant material has to been broken down quite a bit to be able provide nutrients.
