Same here. I wear nothing unless it was on sale, and I like classic preppy stuff. Khaki's are standard for me, I rarely wear jeans anymore. Blank T's and maybe some reebok, or nike shoes. I like those fuzzy fleece jackets columbia makes. Slip on canvas shoes, etc...I used to try to get Izod, Polo and stuff like that, lol. I had "dime" loafers because I put a dime in them instead of a penny.

I think there's a common misconception that a lot of these brands charge exorbitant amounts for their products which is generally untrue. Take Supreme for example. They don't sell t-shirts at $200 a pop, their lazy band-wagon fans buy them at that price on the resale market. If you're lucky enough to buy a new Supreme shirt from their store, Supreme will only charge you $30 on average. Which is fair.

The only thing that makes Supreme products worth so much is the fact that they keep their runs mostly exclusive. They only make so much of one product and try to limit sales to one-per-person which is part of what has made them so successful as a brand. I've heard from plenty of resellers that if you go in looking to buy a size small to resell when you clearly wear a large, the staff will give you nothing and make you fuck off.

Supreme even goes so far as to try and troll the people who buy their products from resellers by releasing obvious shitty products with their brand name slapped onto it. This is how we ended up with the several thousand dollar Supreme clay brick and people still buy it.



It's the 'Fountain' by Duchamp all over again except played out in a brand.
