Fuck PETA!
    #2188445 - 12/18/03 05:10 PM (20 years, 1 month ago)

No matter what your stance on fur is you can't deny that PETA is a compeletely fucked-up organization! Go to their web site (www.peta.org) and check out the "Your mommy kills animals" campaign. I can't believe anyone with an ounce of decency would support this kind of behavior.

I have no problem with folks wanting to take a stand for their beliefs. And if PETA wants to target a campaign towards people wearing fur then thats thier right to do so. I personally don't agree with some of PETAs positions but I defend thier right to have any opinion they want and express it to anyone who disagrees with them. But they have gone waaayyyy too far with this one!! Take a good look at these flyers. Download it and print it. And then imagine how fucking traumatized some children will end up as a result of this campaign!

Thats right...children! PETA plans on slipping these flyers to the children of people seen wearing fur at places like 'The Nutcracker' performances!! That is about the most fucked-up idea I have ever heard! To think that it is OK to victimize innocent children just because you don't like something thier parents do?! Fuck PETA, and fuck anyone who thinks this is a good idea!!

I have never liked peta but damn this is fucked up ... this is low even for them ... I don't know what I would do if my little sister (10 yo) got a comic like that, or my brothers son who is only 6. Damn man, imagine that from a childs perspective. how traumatizing that could be. I mean yes it's true children of today are desensitized, but things like that are the reason kids are desensitized. I see this campaign having a very bad outcome. Peta is turning into the KKK of animal lovers ...

If you could witness the brutality the Peta folks are fighting to prevent,

if you could see it for yourself, smell it, hear it...

every second of every minute of every hour of every day... month after month, year in, year out...

anyone who had a heart... sigh :frown:

there is no way to describe it. no way to argue

I'm not saying fur is okay, personally it's cruel, I'm all about faux ... but peta takes it over board ... PETA hates zoos. zoos for Christ sakes. Shit I'd live at a zoo ... They get whatever they need including vitamins.

I was always freaked out by the Hamburglar, running around with his bag of loot and those evil eyes.

Check this out: http://www.ronald.com/hamburglar/

Do you think its just a coincidence his penis is superimposed with hamburger? "Bun Fun Game" good grief

But PETA goes too far. I hope you are not defending PETAs actions with this campaign!? Did you look at the flyer and read what they plan to do? And this is not some propaganda/anti-PETA story. This shit comes off of thier own web site! Victimizing children will do no good for anyone. Two wrongs don't make a right.

Dude, telling kids that their mom's a murderer is going to traumatize them. While I don't support the fur trade, that's just fucked up beyond belief to expose little children to shit like that and blame their parents. It can accomplish no good. FUCK PETA!

Its not really my fight, ToTheSummit. But yea, I saw it. Had a conversation about it today. They're not targeting children. They're targeting people who support the fur industry. PETA is saying, "If you wear fur in public, you are taking a risk. Especially if you have your kids with you." It's a free speech tactic. Gets people talking and maybe thinking.

And if you absolutely have to go around looking like zsa zsa gabor, get a synthetic fur. I'd bet most folks could not tell the difference. (apologies to zsa zsa if this misrepresents her or mispells her name like it prolly does :smirk: )

Bravo Learyfan! I had no idea.

Call it a free speech tactic
Call it a good fight
Call it important information that needs to get out
Call it whatever you want to....
...but its the wrong way to go about it.

As I said in the beginning, I will defend PETAs right (and anyone else for that matter) to say whatever they want, whenever they want. And I'm not siding with the fur industry here. But victimization of innocent children is just fucking wrong any way you slice it and I find it hard to believe you are defending PETA here if you have actually looked at the flyer.

Quotes like "one of those terrible people is your mommy" and "keep your doggie or kitty friends away from mommy-she's an animal killer!" are unacceptable. PETA claims to have such a big heart and care so much, but this just proves thier hippocracy. Anyone with a heart would not use innocent children as a weapon against thier own parents, especially at the expense of the child! And if anyone can't see how morally bankrupt this idea is then I feel sorry for you as well.

And if you are concerned about teching children, well, there are better ways to go about it. This will not teach them, it will victimize them.

Who's lying to the kids? Are these parents telling their kids that the animals died of natural causes? You think telling kids that their parents are murderers is going to make things better? You know, I remember reading in the book 1984 about Big Brother using tactics to turn kids against their parents. That's just fucking low, and I don't understand how you can support such tactics.

3rdPerson: I was kidding about the veal, but I am getting pretty fucking sick of proselytizing vegetarians telling me how to live my life.

Animals eat other animals.

Humans = Animals.

People want to eat only veggies, more power to you.

I choose to eat meat, I know how the animals are killed I've seen it first hand.

I also wish that radicals of all beliefs would just shut up. Seriously, I think so many good people in organizations like Peta are overwhelmed by loud voices of extremist vegans.

Same with the opposite, extremists are a problem in any belief system.

Obviously PETA has accomplished their goals - which is to draw attention to themselves in any way possible so that they can continue to obtain financial support from far-left liberals and Hollywood.

Even those of you who hate PETA say that you know the fur trade is evil and brutal. How was that message brought to you? I've run a trapline with my father since I was a child as well as worked on several mink farms in HS. (A town near my area of WI is known as "mink capital of the world") I can tell you for a fact that fur is trapped and farmed in the most humane way possible. It is a goal of every fur trapper to set traps that are secure and quick-kill both for the prevention of cruelty and preservation of the trap-site. I have never let an animal suffer, and I can tell you that fur farms, being small and privately run treat their animals much more humanely than the factory farms that provide your turkey, chicken and pork. I am an animal lover and an advocate for animal welfare, but I am reasonable and accepting of the use of animals in a humane manner for human use.

All of you that hate PETA but "know" that the fur trade is inhumane are victims of PETA's lies and exaggerations and you don't even realize it.

Well let me tell allitle story to shed some light on the situation.
I was beating my cat one day when along came a woman in a fur coat, i wasn't gonna say anything but the fur was so shiny and buetiful i had to inquire what beast such a coat came from. The woman looked at me as if i was insane, than i realized that i was still punching the cat. I stopped for a minute and she told me this: There are good animals, and there are bad animals. The good animals are rewarded by serving as food for humans, while the bad animals lurk in the shadows and kill any human they find. Thats..... wierd i said, but wher did that coat come from. " why the soft fur of the scrotum of prepubecent puppys she said" "but only the bad ones of course"

My 8 yr old daughter knows where all meat comes from. hotdogs are pigs sweety. I never hid anything like that. But this PETE shit is wrong too. I'd smash their face for approching my kid like that. And I'd file charges and sue for all they are worth. Why are they dealing with children instead of adults? Kids don't buy furs. I think actions like that are more likely to backfire than actualy work. By that I mean that I have never owned a fur but I think I might go buy one now just to spite the spineless PETA bastards.

Not targeting children but you are taking a risk if you are out and have your child with you. That doesn't make sense. And you don't have free speech when children are concerned. Porn falls under free speech but if you force porn on a minor you are abusing the child. Same concept here people.

It's all about the way the information is presented. The PETA could have presented the information in a more child-friendly way.

PETA might be okay if they could stop spreading so much misinformation.

i would wear fur. but i would not wear fasionable fur, nor would i BUY fur unless it was bartered from
an inuit huntsman/seamstress.
i have no qualms against killing an animal and using it. evry day i send dozens of small animals to their deaths at the mouth of some preditory amphibian, reptile, arachnid, fish etc. ive personally killed and eaten more animals i can count, including fish, mammals, insects, crustaeceans, mollusks, and birds, i chopped them up with jagged sharpened stones in a bruital preparatory ritual then cooked them over an open fire. or some wer shelled or roasted whole. some were eaten raw. so what? am i evil? i eat meat, i would wear fur if it was nessisary. if some PETA person chucked a bucket of paint on me wearing a traditionally made inuit parka given to me by some hunters, i would positively and publically brutilize the pale self-serving histonic little left-wing yahoo with my muqluqs till they were covered in beadprints, preditors eat meat, i qualify, preditors also attack when they are antagonized or their offspring are coerced by ballsy prey-animals.
PETA fanatics distributing insulting propaganda qualify.
or any rhetoric-spreading exclusie-society elite-purist activist from any consortum
examples of groups that particularly annoy my inner animal.
WBC, PETA, KKK, NAMBLA

useful working charitable groups:
SPCA, Humaine Society, Animal Rescue (various)

radical activists arem right-wingers desperately trying to hide their totalitarian facisim behind unacheiable honerable
ends by means of violence, vandalism, propaganda, and now random child harrassment. but isn't that how facists always act?

all this distruction of property creates is a greater demand for further destruction, paintball a rich womans coat, she buys another, and maybe some matching otter gloves and alligator purse while there.

sould there be no activisim? YES! actually! odd as it sounds. iv'e been to so many rallies that ive lost all taste for them. nobody knows whatthe hell they are talking about. the issues, the causes, the politics, none of it.
they just come out in crazy colors and make hooting sounds while blocking traffic waiting for an excuse to clash with authorities. meanwhile, im standing there waiting for some intelligence to break out.
social activism is nothing more than masturbation. getting off on thrusting your thick hard ideals down the throat of those you feel oppressed by. Classic political fetish. and about as socio-economically useful as a rats orgasm.

anyway, i hope you all enjoyed my ejaculation.
peace.
