P. Semilanceata ID Request * 1

Found some mushrooms growing on a small meadow nearby a forest trail which look like liberty caps to me. Normally I'm quite confident at identifying those little fellas, but the place where I found them makes a little doubtful.











These two were found 100 meter further down the road and there were some panaeolus standing next to them (and a bigger one, which I regret not taking with me since it might have been a big lib cap):

These are all libs nicely done I've found them just by evergreens on a small stretch of grass before?.

That's them alright, and that's well spotted in that sea of leaves.:thumbup:

You can find liberty caps basically anywhere where there is grass growing.
I've actually found them once in a thicket of hazel growing next to a pasture, I was
trying to make a shortcut to get to another field, got stuck in the shrubs and there
they were, sprouting out of a tuft of grass.

Thanks, but are you sure about the last two? The longer I look at them, the less they look like libs to me

They are prime specimens of P. semilanceata, and if you indeed have picked this species before you shouldn't be doubting these at all.

Okay thanks :smile: I think im gonna go back there and look for more in the next days, only found them by accident when i was walking back from a meadow where I didnt find a single one :laugh:
Lib season in germany is pretty bad so far, think it suffered from the hot and dry summer

Hot dry extended summer here to uk im going for the motherload very soon it's rained for 3 days straight

I went to the same spot where I found the last two examples and looked for some more:







Im sure about most of them except the two big ones, the more dry one got some blue bruises on the cap tho, which should be a indicator for Psilocin i guess?

One of the big ones is a lib and one is a panaeolus

Okay thanks. Just curious, do you know which Panaeolus exactly?

The others are all libs? on the 2nd picture the three big ones on the right are pretty dark, never seen libs which where that dark, but I guess thats just cause they are a bit older or not?

if all other features check out, dark = wet.
