2nd transfer myc or contam?

This is a Pan Bisporus second transfer that was had molding across the agar plate. Is this how myc spreads after a transfer?




This pic is a cordycep mil. 2nd transfer and looks like it is doing the same thing.




both of them have those white dots that look like myc but are separated from the main growth. if this is contam should I transfer to agar asap?

Pan Bis Looks fine to me :thumbup:

Never done Cordycep before, but nothing is really striking me as off :shrug:

awesome thanks man, that spot of myc that's disconnected from the main growth in the pan bis picture is normal? just making sure for future agar work

Probably some myc fell off during transfer...just keep an eye on it, but i'm sure it'll be fine

No the little spot is not normal, you can probably still use that for a few jars as long as you avoid that spot. But personally I would transfer to a new plate

hmmm ok. also it's growing pretty damn slow, this is at 7 days. Is that normal?

That spot is nothing to worry about...if that's 7 days after transfer I'd say you're fine...If you had contamination in there you would know by now for sure. Let it grow! Let it grow! :thumbup:

I transfer to grains once the edge of the myc has reached the edge of the dish.
